This is in San Francisco. We went to Home Depot and got some terrible sand, sifted it and put it into round sheet metal forms. Since it was summer in San Francisco it was of course; cold. The sand was rounded and the worst stuff I have ever used. A real pain to carve as it was so fragile and crumbly. This was her first time and her piece, the one in front, is fantastic.
