This installation was made for an existing concrete patio to hold the mulch in place. All 46 pieces were individually carved to fit and were made in the studio. As this was done in the colder months many pieces were done by hand mixing in a wheelbarrow inside. Sand, cement and water was kept warm inside to facilitate setting. The edge pieces are sunk 4 inches below patio level. One corner (bottom left image) has slots for drainage. Total length is 48.5 feet.
